History
The International School of Ulaanbaatar was the first international school in Mongolia. It began operation in September 1992 to meet the educational needs of a growing international community.

1992Permission to open a school is granted by the Mongolian Ministry of Education.

1997The Mongolian Ministry of Education certifies the International School of Ulaanbaatar.

1999ISU becames a member of ECIS (this organization later got divided into CIS and ECIS).

2003ISU is first accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

2004ISU has its first graduating class of three students.

2004ISU receives full authorization from the International Baccalaureate organisation (IB).

2007ISU moves to a new campus in Four Seasons Garden area.

2016ISU opens its new Secondary School building.
