NATURE OF WORK
The purpose of this position is to register, store and control fixed assets in the school buildings and storages; this involves in the process of a fixed asset to be sold, donated and written off and conducts a census of the fixed assets twice a year. The responsibility extends to carrying out accounting tasks as assigned. The start date for this position will be February 03, 2025.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• A bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field is required.
• Experience in finance and accounting field.
• Experience in year’s treasurer work.
• Fluency in English and in Mongolian
• Able to use computer programs
• Able to work in multicultural environment

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT (Mongolian Nationals only)
NATURE OF WORK
The role of the Educational Assistant is essentially to assist the Teacher in the delivery of the IB program within the classroom. Supporting the activities within and outside the classroom to ensure students are safe, happy learning in a positive and nurturing environment. The scope of this work will be in a primary homeroom class. The start date for this position will be February 03, 2025.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Teaching diploma degree as well as teaching permit is preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in working with children
- Teaching experience
- Fluency in English and in Mongolian
- Able to use computer programs
- Able to work in multicultural environment

IBMYP/DP Mandarin Language Teacher
NATURE OF WORK

ISU teachers engender excellent relationships with all constituents, they are inspiring in their practice and they are open to continuously improving their pedagogy. They also subscribe to the belief that technology is a tool which should be effectively integrated into classroom practice. This position involves teaching IB MYP Mandarin B part-time in the secondary school. Your objective is to motivate each student to develop competencies, knowledge and skills in all areas of the subjects taught. Your course load is targeted at approximately 40% of available teaching time in a week. The remaining 60% of your role will be as an Educational Assistant
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• experience in—and commitment to—working in an inclusion-model framework
• ideally, three or more years experience teaching culturally- and linguistically-diverse populations
• knowledge of international school pedagogy and curricula including the IBMYP and the IBDP
• at least a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate field, together with relevant teaching certification

Facilities Manager
NATURE OF WORK:
The Facilities Manager shall assist the Director and Director of Operations with the organization, operation and administration of the non-instructional school program. Within the limits of established policy, he/she shall make decisions involving the grounds and maintenance personnel and drivers/vehicles belonging to, or in the service of, the International School of Ulaanbaatar (ISU). His/her primary responsibilities shall involve ensuring the safety, maintenance and development of all school facilities, and all transportation systems (at a high, international standard) at ISU. Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required (specialization in engineering preferred, but not necessary)
- FMA designation or equivalent strongly desired
- Minimum of three to five years of prior experience in facilities administration and management (prior experience of construction projects preferred)
- Demonstrated history of meeting international standards in facilities maintenance
- Ability to work in, and manage, a team in a firm but fair, manner
- Prior experience of working in a multicultural environment is strongly desired
- Written and spoken fluency in English and Mongolian required

Relief Teachers
The International School of Ulaanbaatar is always interested in receiving applications for relief teaching (also known as substitute teaching) from qualified, certified teachers who are already resident in Ulaanbaatar. This role is not available to applicants who do not already live here in the city.
The ISU relief teacher assumes the responsibility of the classroom teacher on an as-needed basis. As well as requiring appropriate qualifications, we prefer relief teachers with prior teaching experience.
