Director’s Welcome
On behalf of everyone at the International School of Ulaanbaatar, I would like to welcome you to our school. We are proud of our staff, facilities, and school community.
If you are new to ISU, I hope that our website gives you a good introduction to our school. We will be updating the site and working to include even more information of assistance to you. If you are already part of the ISU school community, we hope this site will give you an even better sense of what we do, why we do it, and that this will be a site for you to turn to when you need pertinent information.
The International School of Ulaanbaatar is a thriving school community. We are an IB World school providing the PYP, MYP, and DP, to our students. With twenty-eight nationalities represented we are proud of our diversity and international approach to valuing each student. Our school community works together in a positive and challenging way to provide an engaging learning environment for every child to achieve his or her full potential. We value and respect your child and believe they will be made to feel welcome. We provide a rigorous and meaningful curriculum for our students; however, we are aware of the individual needs of every student in our care. Relationships, rigor, relevance, and reflective thought are how we guide our students in their learning environment.
We provide the opportunity for students to engage in many after school activities. We offer sports options as a member of ACAMIS.
We have an active PTG association and welcome the volunteer efforts of our parents. Our school board is active and understands the school both as parents, and as board members.
